About the Position

Future’s manager is to provide Leadership to the program “facilitating and supporting the young adults in achieving their dreams and aspirations to settle in their lives”. Futures manager is a senior manager position in Rainbow homes program at national level. The person is expected to strategise the intervention across the country and capacitate the state and home teams to ground a robust after care program. Rainbow homes program is currently working with about 3800 girls and boys in more than 8 states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and strategies the Future’s intervention for the children in the age group of 16 and above. Formulating wide range of activities those support to empower and build the capacity of children to transitioning into their future.
  • Design and implement various capacity building programs for the state teams and partner organisations to enhance their capacities.
  • Networking with the professionals and companies/Institutions for necessary skill development and placement services
  • Developing projects and necessary donor compliance related to the program.
  • Timely delivery and effective monitoring of the program at various levels
  • Close coordination with state offices and partners for smooth functioning
  • Following ethical and value frame work of the organisation while working with diverse stakeholders
  • Create forum and support systems for the older children/ youth to share their dreams and aspirations thus developing child specific future plans

Qualification and expected skills:

    • Post graduate with social sciences/ management with 10 years of experience in social development sector. At least 5 years of work should be in the area of adolescent girls and after care programs.
    • Demonstrated experience of working in more than 2  states
    • Excellent leadership skills and ability to negotiate with various stakeholders including children, young adults, field teams, partner NGOs, corporates, Government etc.
    • Ability to travel extensively to bring synergy among various stakeholders
    • Abilities to conceptualise and coordinate various researches for the work.
    • The position is based in Hyderabad and required travel to other states
    • Language proficiency in English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of regional languages would be an added advantage.

     

    Salary:  The Salary package would be INR 8.4 to 9 lakhs PA commensurate with experience.

The State Programme Manager will be overall responsible for the functioning of the Rainbow Homes program in the state. The position provides overall leadership in terms of Program quality, Advocacy, fund raising and partnership management along the multi-disciplinary team located in state office of Rainbow homes program. The SPMs’ primary task is ensuring the quality of the programme by working together with the City level Network and NGOs and also to ensure safe childhood of vulnerable children. The SPM shall work with wide ramnge of stakeholders including concerned Government agencies like Education, Child and Social Welfare Departments. Other stakeholders include Corporates, Civil Society Organisations and other likeminded NGOs. Negotiating with the concerned Government and other stakeholders for the Expansion and establishment of new homes is also another task of State Programme Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop effective & collaborative partnerships with the Government state departments and implementing  organizations at the state  level
  • Facilitate development of strategic plan for the state program and corresponding Annual Program Plans & Budgets
  • Regular Capacity building and Monitoring of the implementing partners and Rainbow Homes to ensure quality program for the children as per the defined standards of care.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and other required donor services as per the donor specific needs.
  • Advocacy & Network building at the state level with civil society organization & Governments and other stakeholders for expansion and consolidation of the program

Job description:
The State Finance cum Admin Coordinator is responsible for financial management and accounting systems of the State Program in compliance with organization guidelines, this position is based in State Office; position involves regular local travel to the homes with in the city and occasional travel to other cities for trainings/meetings.

Finance Manager

About Position:
Over all incharge  for bookkeeping, compliances and reporting in accordance with organisational guidelines, protocols and statutory regulations and supporting the Director- Finance, HR & Admin.
III. The Key responsibilities are:
Accounting:
  • Ensure accurate recording of finance transactions for all units as per the accepted principles and applicable laws.
  • Manage day-to-day transactions and ensure timely payments made duly following the required procedures as per the organisations norms and policies.
  • Ensure proper accounting systems and procedures are lead out, followed across all units at all levels as per the organisational policy, and accepted accounting principles.
Reporting:
  • Ensure periodic Consolidation of financials of all the units and prepare relevant reports for period reviews and for submission to various stakeholders.
  • Develop budgets in coordination with various heads of units and do the resource mapping based on the available sources from time to time.
Donor relations:
  • Prepare financial proposals and budgets in coordination with the respective units along with necessary documents for sharing with existing and potential funders.
  • Ensure all the relevant compliances for executions of MOUs with various Donors.
  • Prepare donor-reporting calendar and ensure timely sharing of reports in coordination with various units.
Financial management:
  • Prepare and monitor the cash flows to ensure sufficient funds are available for operations.
  • Prepare and ensure monthly reconciliations for all the bank accounts and grant reconciliations for all the various grants received.
  • Prepare and update the donation dashboard on periodic basis.
  • Analysis of the expenditure of various units from various sources on periodic basis.
Statutory compliance:
  • Ensure proper deductions of TDS to employees, vendors etc., made and quarterly returns filed on time.
  • Prepare and submit monthly returns for EPF in coordination of HR unit.
  • Prepare information required for quarterly and annual FC returns.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely submission of IT returns and society returns
  • Coordinate various audits -internal, project/donor and statutory and ensure audit compliances.
  • Ensure efficient system of filing, archiving and retrieval as per statutory requirements.
The Finance Manager will report into the Director – Finance, HR and Admin.  S/he will work very closely with the other Finance and other teams at various levels for required information and coordination.
IV. Role Requirements:
 
Educational Qualifications  & Functional / Technical Skills:
  • A post graduate in commerce /MBA in Finance Management from a well-known institute and any other related professional qualifications will be added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mid management level- finance function in a reputed Not for Profit organization.
  • Professional Knowledge and hands on experience in TALLY ERP is must.  Knowledge in other accounting   softwares will be an added advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS office especially MS Word and MS Excel for financial analysis and consolidation of reports.
  • Knowledge of good accounting practices and statutory guidelines with hands-on experience with audits, income tax provision, FCRA and other applicable laws and statutes.

Other requirements:

  • Excellent communication both oral and written in English and Hindi is must.  Good interpersonal skills with ability to work independently as well as part of a team as good team player.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at one time, successfully coordinate and complete tasks and meet deadlines.

Compensation:

About the Position
The Manager – Donor Relation will be overall responsible for managing donor relationships and adhering to the donor specific requirements at the national level. The position provides support to the national program unit in terms of developing proposals, coordinating with state offices to ensure donor compliance. The person is expected to be part of the multi- disciplinary team of Rainbow Homes Program at national level and work in close coordination with various departments and state teams within Rainbow Homes Program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining effective & collaborative relationships with diverse donor organisations and compliance to donor specific needs.
  • Ensuring quality reports as per the donor requirements and formats. Coordinating with different state teams to ensure timely reporting.
  • Preparing track sheets and coordinating with State teams and other departments of Rainbow Homes Program to ensure compliance.
  • Regular Capacity building of the focal persons in the state teams those responsible for donor reporting.
  • Developing national level proposals as per the requirements of the donors and Rainbow Homes Program and helping the state teams to develop proposals as per the needs of the state program.
  • Preparing implementation guidelines of various donor supported projects and organising inception trainings to support the state implementation teams
  • Coordinating implementation status of various donor funded projects with various state units of Rainbow Homes Program and compiling status reports
  • Facilitating visits of different donors as per the requirement
  • Coordinating strategic program review and planning workshops at national level
  • Supporting the program unit functions in the Rainbow Homes Program as advised by the Program Director
Required Competencies: 
  • Post graduate in Social sciences, human rights, Journalism etc with at least 5 years of experience with NGO sector in implementing diverse programs including child rights.
  • At least 2 years of experience of dealing with Corporates and international donor agencies and their compliance
  • Ability to conceptualise programs and develop technical projects for institutional donors
  • High quality writing and communication skills
  • Conversant with developing log frames and reporting based on Log frame
  • Ability to work with diversified teams and a good team player
  • Willingness to travel as required by the program needs
  • Strong social perspectives on structural causes of the poverty
  • Ability to develop monitoring tools, formats as per the project needs
  • Familiarity of working with the Government systems & experiencing managing NGO partnerships/ programs
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently & managing emergency situations
  • Speaks , reads and Write English & Hindi fluently 
Salary : The Salary package would be Rs 6lakhs PA commensurate with experience.

Fundraising Coordinator

About the Position:
The Fundraising Coordinator is a state level position, the person responsible for the fundraising support for the Rainbow Homes programs in the state
Key responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development and execution of fundraising strategies supporting local efforts
  2. Responsible for channelizing funds to support local offices’ work and cover own administrative costs
  3. Establish corporate relations protocols and co-manage corporate relationships at the state-level
  4. Maintain relationships with donors as Lead Account Manager for the state
  5. Develop an integrated resource mobilization strategy that contributes  to the delivery  of  the overall Rainbow Homes fundraising strategy
  6. Execute the strategy timely and through skillful deployment of resources
  7. Manage  all  day-to-day  activities  that  contribute  to  mobilizationofresources,  including brand building, communication & publicity, events, merchandising and   donormanagement
  8. Nurture existing relationships and constantly expand current network of donors by tapping into local Organisations, Foundations, HNI’s and foreign corporations.
  9. Work closely with the program team at state level to guide them in funding requirements and fund utilization issues
  10. Prescribe, lead and conduct market research and marketing initiatives to assess donor priorities and identify opportunities for resource mobilization
  11. Create an external support network of professionals to augment performance of the in- house team and minimize costs
  12. Ensure documentation of all procedures, donor details, reports,etc.
  13. Contribute to growth and development of Rainbow Homes through participation and continuous appraisal of the existing fundraising strategy
  14. SupportCampaignsincludingmakingpresentationstocompanies,andaccounts management.
  15. Communicate with stakeholders – Internal and External – of the organization, build relationships and take forward.
  16. Communicate and support in organizing State Level meetings/ trainings involving the Network, State Office and National Office.
  17. Liaoning between the State Office, Donors, National Office for Fundraising and other related activities.
  18. Any other as assigned by the line manager.
Required Competencies: 
  1. A Master’s degree in Social Sciences /Development.
  2. Minimum 3years experience in fundraising and networking in NGO/ Social Sector.
  3. Excellent communications skills,spoken and written Kannada and English and spoken Hindi.
  4. Knowledge of MS Office applications.
  5. Knowledge of Individual, corporate and Government fundraising strategies and experience if any, preferred.
  6. Ability to organize donor visits, donor management and compliance.
  7. Ability to work flexibly and to fulfill the donor management requirements

Advocacy Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute in developing state advocacy goals and operational plans to achieve these goals for Rainbow Homes in Pune
  • Work in close coordination with Team Leader and state team to achieve the goals of advocacy to achieve the program objectives on the issue of children in street situations
  • Liaison with various stakeholders and network with different government departments to bring the issues of shelter, education, care & protection, health & futures of children formerly living in street situations as well as the concerns of the children affected on limelight
  • Coordinate between the various departments of the Pune Municipal Corporation for creating spaces in school buildings of the PMC/state government, making available spaces suitable for running of Rainbow Homes as per the model
  • Ensure that the infrastructural needs of the Homes such as renovation/refurbishment to government is communicated from time to time and work is completed
  • Liaison with Government in ensuring timely fund releases
  • Mapping needs of various partner organisations and developing advocacy agendas.
  • Mapping of government schemes beneficial to the children & young adolescents in care as well as for other children, young adolescents and adults living in street situations
  • Work closely with various government departments for obtaining identity documents such as birth certificates, caste certificates, ration card, Aadhar Card, PAN card etc. for the children in care as well as their families
  • Coordinate between different government departments to acquire subsidies for the Rainbow Homes for services such as LPG, PDS, Electricity and Water connections
  • Updating relevant government departments on the progress of Rainbow Homes in Pune city
  • Maintain the data bank of the various NGOs, like minded organisations that are working with the issue of street children and are relevant to the work of Rainbow Homes
  • Engage and build networks that work on Child Rights in Pune City and Maharashtra state to collectively advocate on Street Children issues
  • Study & analyse various policies related to Children that need care & Protection.  Advocate with various departments/public representatives & NGOs for the policy changes/appropriate measurements
  • Train & build capacities of home staff, partners on various government policies/acts/schemes relevant to Rainbow Homes programme from time to time
  • Prepare various programmatic reports as per the requirement of government/organisation from time to time
  • Develop materials to support use of the General Comment, including children-friendly and easy-read versions

Qualifications & Eligibility: 
  • Post Graduate in Political Science, Human Rights, Social Work, Communications
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in Development sector, preferably on the issues of Children on Streets
  • Experience of working with government
  • Experience of building networks, partnership management is added advantage
  • Language proficiency in Marathi and English is essential

We are looking for a suitable candidate to work with us as Administration Coordinator at our State Office, Pune
4. Key Responsibilities
The Administration Coordinator is expected to perform the following tasks:
  • Be responsible for incoming and outgoing telephone calls.  Manage and route phone calls appropriately.
  • Make logistic arrangement including travel reservations, hotel and vehicle arrangement for staffs, visitors/partners, donors, consultants, volunteers etc., as per organisation norms.
  • Provide efficient administrative support, logistics management, equipment and infrastructure management and inventory management to ensure well running office.
  • Be Responsible for developing and administrating and subsequent timely renewal of all office-related contractual services, including suppliers of services/equipment and maintenance.
  • Take care of day-to-day office maintenance/cleanliness and hospitality.

  • Supervise supporting staff (Admin Assistants and House Keeping assistants) at the state office.
  • Handle office expenses and petty cash with proper approvals.
  • To coordinate meetings, events, workshops and other similar activities.
  • Perform other organizational activities as assigned from time to time.
Required Competencies: 
  • Should be a Post Graduate (MBA, Relevant Administrative management relevant Post graduate) and have minimum of  5 years of experience of working in Admin related field
  • Relevant experience in NGO sector is preferred

About the Position

Futures Programme Manager cum Trainer is responsible for leading and facilitating the Futures programme at state level with youth in achieving their dreams and aspirations. This position is based in Pune and reports to State Programme Manager.

 

  1. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategize & lead the implementation of Futures programme intervention in the state as per the organisational Futures programme
  • Capacity building of the state & home teams on Futures
  • Create forum and support systems for the older children/ youth to share their dreams and aspirations thus developing child specific future plans
  • Be as a mentor for the older children of Rainbow Homes
  • Organise Training programmes for developing soft skills, life skills and vocational skills for the young adolescent children using institutional and external expertise
  • Mapping of Long-term & Short-term Job Opportunities for Youth
  • Establishing linkages with external institutions to link Youth to pursue higher education & Part time jobs
  • Ensure Youth are equipped skills required to take-up part-time jobs
  • Mobilising resources and necessarily external linkages with the program at state level
  • Networking with the professionals and companies/Institutions for necessary skill development and placement services
